Results are estimates, provided as-is for general information. They can vary with your device, browser, network load and the route to the test server, and should not be relied on for billing, contractual or commercial purposes. Plain English
What the numbers mean
Download
How fast data comes to you. This is what matters most for streaming, browsing, and downloading files. Higher is better.
Upload
How fast data leaves your device. It affects video calls, sending large files, gaming, and posting media. Higher is better.
Ping (latency)
How long a request takes to make the round trip, in milliseconds. Low ping feels snappy and is key for video calls and gaming. Lower is better.
Jitter
How much your ping varies between samples. High jitter causes stutter on calls and games even when ping looks fine. Lower is better.

Speed test FAQ
What is a good internet speed?
For one person browsing and streaming in HD, around 25 Mbps download is comfortable. For 4K streaming, several devices, or working from home, 100 Mbps or more gives plenty of headroom. Online gaming cares less about raw speed and more about a low, steady ping.
Why is my result lower than the speed I pay for?
Wi-Fi, distance from the router, other devices on the network, and your computer can all reduce the speed you actually see. For the number closest to your plan, connect by cable, close other tabs and apps, and pause any large downloads before testing.
How accurate is a browser speed test?
This test measures real data transfer over your live connection, so it gives a reliable ballpark. Results can vary run to run because they depend on your browser, current network load, and the route to the test server. Running it a few times gives the clearest picture. The figures are estimates provided as-is, with no guarantee of accuracy and no liability accepted, so please do not rely on them for billing or contractual purposes.
Does the test use my data?
Yes. Measuring speed means transferring real data, so it consumes some of your monthly allowance. On a metered or mobile connection, keep that in mind before running it repeatedly.
